Saturday, August 7 to Saturday, August 14, 2010Community Center Trip: The Candian Rockies
The Monterey Senior Center in the Lighthouse District is pleased to announce its Winter/Spring 2010 Tour Program! Our final excursion of the season will be to the Canadian Rockies and Glacier National Park, August 7-14! You do not have to be a Center member to participate: all adults age 18 and older are welcome; each child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
This tour of the Canadian Rockies will feature a drive along the incredible Ice Fields Parkway. Paralleling the great divide, this special roadway is home to some of the most dramatic vistas in all of North America. Here snow-capped mountains engulf the landscape, casting shadows on the adjacent glacial streams. The highlights will be: Waterton Lakes National Park, Glacier National Park, Going to the Sun Road, Banff, Columbia Icefields, Athabasca Falls, Jasper, and Calgary. Cost is $2524 per person for double occupancy; $3224 per person for single occupancy (price is subject to increase until paid in full). All tours are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tours must be paid for when you sign-up. We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and personal checks. Leave the driving and planning to us. Tours sell out fast, so don't wait! For more information and to register, please phone the Monterey Senior Center, 831-646-3878. |
