Bike to the Lighthouse District on Thursdays and receive discounts from local businesses participating in HER Helmet Thursdays! Six Lighthouse District businesses - Amir's Kabob House, Henry's BBQ Restaurant, Hula's Island Grill & Tiki Room, International Market & Deli, Monterey Hostel, and Persian Grill - are among the first 73 charter participants in HER Helmet Thursdays, a countywide sustainability project.

The project is an ecology-economy partnership. H-E-R businesses and organizations help sustain the environment by offering customers a 10 to 50 percent discount for biking there on Thursdays.
