Paper Wing Theatre Company presents God of Carnage, a comedy of manners...without the manners. Performances are scheduled on Friday, July 19 at 8pm; Saturday, July 20 at 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday, July 21 at 2pm. Tickets are $10. Purchase advance tickets online.
God of Carnage is a play by Yasmina Reza about two sets of parents, one of whose child has hurt the other at a public park. They agree to meet to discuss the matter in a civilized manner. But as the evening goes on the parents become increasingly childish, resulting in the evening devolving into chaos.
Originally written in French, the play has been translated into English by Christopher Hampton and has enjoyed acclaim in productions in London and on Broadway, where it won a 2009 Tony Award. This Paper Wing production is directed by Adrian Clark.
