This image, taken by photographer Sheldon Chang, of Kevin Hernandez, a barber at Pistons and Pearls, won the People's Choice Runner-Up Award in the Culture & Community Category of the 2017 City of Monterey Photo Contest. It, along with all other photo contest entries (including a photo of Sal Aliotti of Lighthouse Lighting and Lamps), is on display now through April 2018 at Alvarado Gallery, located on the mezzanine of Monterey Conference Center.

Sheldon Chang, an independent web developer and photographer, is the webmaster for the New Monterey Business Association's Lighthouse District. You can view more of his photos on Instagram.
