The Transportation Agency for Monterey County reports that a live construction camera has been installed for the Holman Highway 68 Roundabout Project. The Camera allows people to go on-line to view the construction in real time at http://bit.ly/2dgnwXK.
This “birds-eye” view of the construction site not only offers the public the opportunity to see what the most current traffic conditions are through the area, but it also offers TAMC the opportunity to document the construction of the first major roundabout on a state highway in Monterey County.

Sam is one of our Associate Planners who is makeup artist extraordinaire, fashion stylist, and Snapchat educator. She comes from a big family that loves to celebrate and entertain, and she always loved being a part of the planning and seeing the vision come to life. Before the days of Pinterest, she would create her own boards with cutouts of magazines and newspaper articles and would plan full weddings and birthday parties all on a 12 x 12 poster board. Being able to do the same thing now and actually bringing it to life is something she's always dreamed of. During the week of September 19, 2016, daytime construction work will continue on the Holman Highway 68 Roundabout. Crews continue the earthwork stage of construction and it will be noticeable from the road as you drive through the construction zone. During construction, expect increased delays traveling through the crossing of Holman Highway 68 and Highway 1.
Beginning in the week of September 12, 2016, crews will begin the earthwork stage of construction on the Holman Highway 68 Roundabout at Hwy 1; construction activity will be more noticeable from the road as you drive through the construction zone. During this next phase of construction, expect increased delays traveling through this area. The City of Monterey advises motorists to give themselves an extra 10-15 minutes.

We're kicking off this series with our UCSC intern, Micaela Madden. She has been on board for day-of-event assistance, office organization and design, creating new marketing and media materials, and is now heading up our social media accounts. We are thankful for her can do attitude, positive vibe, and enthusiastic approach to anything we throw her way.
Crafted, a handcrafted gift shop at 800 Lighthouse Ave, is beginning to present classes for children! In the first class, held around the end of September, shop owner Raecine Melendez will teach kids age 9-12 how to create a small glass terrarium they can take home. The fee is $20, which includes materials and light refreshments.
This will be a small class of no more than eight students, held in the back room of the shop. It’s intended as a fun way for children to exercise their creativity and meet other kids in the community.
Raecine would like to see how many people might attend before she schedules the date. If your child would be interested, please contact Raecine at [email protected] or 831-277-0100.
