Mai Ryuno, artist and owner of the Lighthouse District's Play Full Ground, is participating in Youth Arts Collective's LiveART 2020 on Saturday, August 29, 4pm-7pm! This online event will feature live art making (both live-stream and time lapse), a sketch circle, an art auction, art sales, and live music. It's an entertaining way to support YAC and view and purchase the work of local artists!
Mai Ryuno is a social practice, installation, and performance artist whose artwork is concept driven, process oriented, and playful. She loves using mixed mediums. Her artwork is sometimes abstract and subtle, and, at other times, bold and colorful. It is often the result of her interest in spontaneous ideas and the act of making and doing art.
Mai is also a contemporary educator who, thought Play Full Ground, teaches classes, facilitates workshops, and does personal coaching in art and creativity. Her goal is support everyone's journey to discover their own way of being creative as well as develop skills such as critical thinking, creative problem solving, communication, and collaboration through fun, creative projects.
