Current Comics is hosting a Halloween ComicFest on Saturday, October 28, featuring candy and free Halloween-themed comics (11am-7pm), a vintage toy sale (11am-5pm), and a book signing by local horror author Francesca Maria (1pm-4pm).

Current Comics presents a book signing by author Francesca Maria on Saturday, October 28, 1pm-4pm. Francesca Maria is the creator of The Black Cat Chronicles , a true horror comic book series, as well as a short story collection, They Hide: Short Stories to Tell in the Dark.

Come in for On The Beach's annual Costume Contest during the Children's Trick-or-Treat on Lighthouse , 2pm-5pm. We'll take a photo of everyone coming in to the shop in costume and post it on the On The Beach Facebook page . Vote for your favorite costumes and the top three winners will get prizes.

Join us for a spooky good time! On Saturday, October 28, Lighthouse District shops, restaurants, and boutiques will be open and welcoming little goblins with special treats, 2pm-5pm, rain or shine. So dress up the kids, get in the spirit, and come on down with your family to enjoy a fun and safe time in the community.

All businesses handing out candy will be located on Lighthouse Avenue in New Monterey between Reeside and David and will have a Lighthouse Halloween poster displayed in the window.
