Posted on August 31st, 2021 by lighthouseave

Don't forget to cast your ballot by September 14, 2021. This upcoming recall vote will determine whether or not Gov. Gavin Newsom remains in office and, if he is removed from office, which candidate will replace him.

Get the facts before you vote: find nonpartisan information on this and all elections at VotersEdge California, a website by the League of Women Voters California and MapLight.

There are only two questions on the ballot. No matter how you answer question 1 (to recall the governor or not) you can still vote for a possible replacement candidate in question 2.

To vote in-person, find your polling place here. Locations are open now through September 14. You can also drop off your ballot at the permanent ballot box in front of Monterey Public Library at 625 Pacific Street.

The voter registration deadline for this election was August 30, 2021. Already registered? Check your address and other voter information by visiting My Voter Status or call (831) 796-1499. Sign-up for Where’s My Ballot? to receive notifications about tracking your ballot.
