Monterey Police Department is participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 23, 10am-2pm. At that time, you can drop off unused or out-of-date prescription medications at MPD for safe disposal. This includes tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs.

Please note: liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharps, and illegal drugs will not be accepted.

Join Bamboo Reef Dive Shop for a boat dive in Monterey Bay aboard the Beachhopper II . Fee is $100. All fun dives are two tank dives. Divers must provide their own equipment (available for rent), c-card, and a sense of adventure. Space is limited so register online to reserve your spot.

The Lighthouse tunnel will be closed in both directions overnight for routine inspection and maintenance on the nights of Tuesday, October 26 and Wednesday, October 27, 10pm-5am. Traffic control and detours will be in place.

Pearl Hour is starting off Halloween weekend right with late night jazz on Friday, October 29 at 8pm. Our Halloween costume theme for the night is *cats and cauldrons*. (Prize to the winner!)

Bamboo Reef Dive Shop presents a Kelp Restoration Diver course on October 30, 7am-1pm. This course for certified divers will prepare you to help protect and restore our kelp forest ecosystems. Limited spots are available. Fee is $275. Please register online.
